Today we went to the Vatican. The museum was AMAZING! Here are some of Sara's favorite things she saw at the museum:
-Laocoon (one of Sara's favorite sculptures...Laocoon warned the Trojans of the Trojan Horse. He said it was a trick; right then Poseidon sent 2 serpents to kill him and his two sons. The sculpture shows the serpents entangling them.)
-Sculpture that has stories from the Trojan War carved in it (pictured above).
-Ralphael's Signature Room: Painting of famous philosophers/writers/mathmaticians...tons of symbolism!
We also saw the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica.
