Today we arrived in Venice after a 2 hour train ride. We then took a water bus to our hotel. The water bus was fun because you got to see Venice for what it is known for...its waterways.
Our hotel is amazing. As soon as we arrived they gave us a grand tour and memorized our names. Whenever we come and go they know who we are and are willing to help with anything. And we are so happy to have A.C. and no mosquitos!
We took a video of our room because it has a little sitting room and is decorated in red and gold as if it is a theater. So, far, using the hotel computer we cannot upload the video, so we'll have to show you another time.
On the first floor of our hotel they have a little door to open and you can get right on a gondola or water taxi.
We sat in St. Mark's Square and had a hot chocolate and capuccino enjoying the live music and watching the people.

How was the Azzurri game while in country? Had to be rad.
It was awesome. I think it was the biggest reason the dinner took more than two hours. Our original plan was to catch the game at a bar after dinner but that didn't happen - instead, we enjoyed the game (and several litres of wine) in a restaurant called the Boogeyman... in Italian, of course.
France vs. Mexico tonight. We'll see if we're able to catch it. Not a huge priority because I'll have to quietly root for Mexico to avoid being killed and it's our anniversary. Still, catching a game with locals is pretty sweet.
