Le Tour Eiffel at 10:30pm
Sean and I celebrated our 4th anniversary in Paris...the city of love...how perfect.
Today we walked all around Paris enjoying the sites. We enjoyed the Eiffel Tower from a few different angles. We wish we would have stayed in the gardens surrounding it longer, and we are thinking we may go back.
We went to the Arc de Triumph and walked all along the Champs Elysees-the famous road that they end the Tour de France on.
At night we went out to a nice dinner and enjoyed the dessert of creme brulee. We then took a night cruise on the Seine. It doesn't get dark until after 10pm so it wasn't as dramatic as we had hoped for, but we still had a nice time and they kept everyone posted on the France vs. Mexico game. We got off the boat at the Eiffel Tower to see it at night. It was worth it! And 5 minutes of every hour it sparkles with lights like they did at New Years a few years back. It was just beautiful. Right under the Eiffel Tower at a nearby park they set up a large outdoor area with a big screen to watch the game. We were there when the game ended and the spectators were leaving. We were really immersed in the culture at that point. We made it home safely even with all the ruffians and said goodbye to our special day.
